“We have our own bakery where we bake our own bread in house,” he says. The Triangle website takes it a step further by boasting that they bake over 800 loaves a day.
Triangle was officially opened in the late 1940s by the Catezano family, and the Crombies purchased the establishment from them in 1982. Since then, the shop has become known for its giant hoagies, dubbed “Home of the The Battleship,” referring to the whopping 27-inch sandwich they sell.
A place that some refer to as an… “Unassuming joint specializing in oversize hoagies, plus beer & TVs for sports fans.”Actually has been a Pittsburgh staple located on the east side of town for well over 65 years and has received local and national acclaim as one of the best restaurants, subs and “foodie joints” in the nation.
The Triangle Bar & Grill has been seen on local and national television shows and featured in numerous articles. Whenever anyone asks… “Where can I get an awesome sub?”
Although known for our world famous subs, the Triangle is also a full service sports bar. We offer a wide variety of beers and spirits and have multiple TV’s to catch your favorite Pittsburgh sports team.
